Communication With HQ

While we have a team to assist with many post-application processing functions needed for each file, it is still the Loan Officer’s responsibility to keep tabs on their file and know what is happening.

  • LOs should be checking the client’s closing tracker for high level visibility regarding what has already been completed and which documents/actions are still needed from the client.
  • For updates regarding items like appraisal and title status/turn times, LOs should message their PSM via email or slack.
  • For updates/inquiries regarding specific lender conditions, LOs should reach out to underwriting@morty.com.
  • Whenever emailing any channel regarding a specific file, make sure to include the borrower’s last name in the subject line of the email, if not continuing the conversation on an existing thread.
