Step 1: Initiate NMLS Sponsorship
To be sponsored by Morty, you’ll need to give Morty Access to your NMLS profile and update your employment history.
Grant Morty access to sponsor you in NMLS.
Follow the instructions here. Once we have access, we will initiate your sponsorship. The state needs to approve the request, which usually takes about a week. If you have any licensing questions, reach out to Compliance at support@morty.com for guidance.
Update your MU4 employment history in NMLS.
Follow the instructions here. Morty’s address is: 1002 Dean Street #21 Brooklyn, NY 11238
Step 2: Authorize Background Check
We must perform a background check for your NMLS sponsorship to be valid.
We use a company called Checkr to handle these checks. Once you have granted Morty access in NMLS, you will receive an email from support@checkr.com to authorize a background check. These checks typically take a few days to complete.
